Second Street reopening allows for downtown transit stops to return to normal locations

Rochester Public Transit will resume operations this Wednesday at its normal downtown transit hub along Second Street Southwest.

Transit operations had been relocated since March due to road construction. That work wrapped up last week.

According to RPT, most routes will return to their previous bus stand locations. The bus shelters are where most transit routes start and end. A map of routes can be found here.

Now finished, the Second Street project included the installation of new sanitary and storm sewers in an effort to create additional capacity to support planned development downtown and in southeast Rochester.
