Rochester police looking to reunite WWII items with their original owner

Rochester police looking to reunite WWII items with their original owner

The Rochester Police Department is asking for the public's assistance in identifying the owner of some recently-discovered World War II items.

These items were found on Sept. 22 in a wooded area along the north side of Silver Lake Park in Rochester. The items were wrapped in an old sheet.

The items include a Army Good Conduct Medal issued during World War II and a token with crossed pistols, indicating military police service. There is also a photo in the case, but it is too worn down to identify the soldier.

Anyone with information should call (507) 328-6875.
