Free outdoor fitness series to feature yoga, dance and Zumba classes

Free outdoor fitness series to feature yoga, dance and Zumba classes

As we continue to grind out this poor excuse for early spring, how about something to look forward to?

This week, the Rochester Downtown Alliance announced the schedule for its Fresh Air Fitness series, put on with support from Winona State University, Rochester’s Campus Activity Board and 125 Live.

The free events will be held throughout May and June — and will include more class types and sessions than ever before, the RDA says.

“These outdoor classes were a great way to celebrate spring and reconnect with the community in 2021,” said Holly Masek, RDA’s executive director, according to the announcement. “We’re excited to expand the program to three days a week with a new partnership with 125 Live.”

These free outdoor fitness classes will run from 5 to 6 p.m. every Tuesday and Thursday in Central Park, and will rotate between yoga, dance, and senior classes. On Saturdays, Zumba classes will be hosted in Peace Plaza from 10 to 11 a.m. All classes will be taught by 125 Live instructors.

The classes are free — and open to anyone, regardless of fitness level. Registration, however, is required to attend. Learn more about that here.
