Pekel to participate in online forum

Pekel to participate in online forum

Rochester Public Schools interim superintendent Kent Pekel will take questions from community members during a virtual forum this Thursday.

The forum, being put on by In the City for Good, a grassroots advocacy group, will be held from 6:30 to 8 p.m. on Zoom. It will also be live-streamed on Facebook and posted to YouTube after the event.

Pekel, according to organizers, will use the event to “give an overview of his time so far in the district, along with more information on the strategic plan he will be proposing.” Pekel has been with the district since July.

Residents are also encouraged to submit questions ahead of time via email, or during the meeting for the Q&A period following Pekel’s presentation.
