Rochester brothers claim $200,000 prize from the Minnesota Lottery

Two men from Rochester are splitting a $200,000 prize they won on a scratch ticket from the Minnesota Lottery.

Fred and Ernie Dyck claimed the prize last Thursday at lottery headquarters in Roseville. According to the lottery's website, they purchased the $200,000 Instant Jackpot ticket at Mauer Brothers Tavern and Grill in Elba.

For every $1 spent on lottery tickets, approximately $0.24 goes back to the state. Over the years, lottery players have helped raise more than $2.4 billion for programs in areas like education and the environment.
