(THE MED CITY BEAT) - Two Rochester women, Brooklyn (left) and Kayla, were among the 35 women named to the 2015 Minnesota Vikings cheerleading team.

The team announced the selections this week. This will be Brooklyn's first year on the squad and Kayla's fifth.

Brooklyn competed and coached for the Junior Elite Training School in Rochester before becoming a Vikings cheerleader.

"We couldn't be more proud or more excited for you," the organization wrote on Facebook. "She is gorgeous, talented and one of the sweetest girls I know. You Rock Brooklyn!"

A third woman from Rochester tried out for the team but did not make the cut.

The Vikings 2015 regular season begins Sept. 14 in San Francisco. The team finished 7-9 last year, missing the playoffs for the fourth time in five years.
